Case Study 1 - Setting Out

Setting out a building is s the process of transferring architectural proposals from drawings into the ground. It establishes the location points for site boundaries, foundations, columns, center-lines of walls and other necessary structural parts.

CENTRELINE METHOD

Step-1

Draw the centreline of a given plan and delete unwanted items. The centreline drawing of the wall is ready.

Step-2
Take a copy of the centreline drawing plan and taking offset 6 cm from the centreline of the outer wall otherwise, it will say.

Step-3
Taking offset 22.5cm for basement floor, 30cm for foundation and 40cm for PCC from centreline. Trim unwanted lines. The setout plan for the foundation is ready.
