Importance of Soil Testing

All construction projects are made on the soil. The soil has to take the weight of the structures. The soil testing before construction is the first and important step. 

1. Soil testing is done to know the bearing capacity of the soil. It also shows the physical and chemical composition of the soil.  
2. The soil investigations or analysis helps to determine the rate of the structure stabilization on the soil.
3. The soil testing also determines the foundation of the building. 
4. The water table level of the soil can be known only from the soil testing. 
5. The choice of construction material may also be affected by the chemical and mineral composition of the soil. 
6. The height of the building and the use of materials are decided by the engineers on the basis of soil testing reports. So, soil testing is important before construction.
