During the diploma course, I got chance to handle the instrument Total Station. We survey ground nearer our office and take different points using this instrument. Also plot plan in the ground.
Total Station is an electronic instrument . It’s a combination of theodolite with EDM (electronic distance
meter). It includes a microprocessor, electronic data collector and
storage system. It is used to measure
sloping, horizontal angles and vertical angles. Data are collected in this instrument & downloaded into a computer or laptop for work.
