My site exposure
MY SITE EXPOSURE
I
had an opportunity to be work as a site trainee engineer at Maradu in Ernakulam
district from August 2019 during the training period of DCM in Civil
Talents.com. This academy work as project consultancy
for this site. Er. Sureshlal S D is guiding us and giving instructions. The
site project manager is Mr. Vasanth Bhat and site supervisor is Mr. Libin
Anto. This site is 6000sqft of G+3 building.
The chipping depth of the pile is measured using the
instrument dumpy level. General instructions about instrument are given by the
site supervisor and I measured the chipping height of the pile.

Work
was not continuity because of heavy rain at the site. The main problem of this
site was water level is high and water entering the site from drainage.
Because of these problems dewatering was carried on daily. Reinforcement work
will be carried out on rainy days. Due to the above-mentioned water
problems pile cap shuttering done by block.

After completion of blockwork shuttering, plain cement
concrete was done for plinth beam and the reinforcement of pile cap, plinth
beam, column, and side walls plunge pool and water tank are finished.

After
the finishing of reinforcement work and also be completed the back-filling.
Next was the shuttering of the plinth beam and pile cap above GL. After this work,
checking of dimensions carried and the site is ready for concreting.
